The Western Australian Veteran Golfers Association Inc. was founded in 1982 and became affiliated with the Australian Veteran Golfers Union, embracing veteran golfers throughout Australia.
Our aim is to foster good fellowship amongst players through a common golfing interest embraced by our membership and playing at each others courses weekly during the year.
Once you are aged 55 or over, are an amateur golfer with an AGA handicap and a financial and regular competition playing member of a WAGA affiliated metropolitan, suburban or country golf club, you are eligible to join the “Vets”. Nominate through your club representative or contact the Secretary with an initial fee of $100.00. This covers joining fee of $60, badge, and the annual membership subscription of $40. The golfing season commences on the first week of February with weekly games, mostly on Mondays, through to the first week of December. Annual golf tours are conducted to country areas throughout the year with golf at some of the most exciting courses in W.A. Wives and partners are welcome on these trips.
The Country Veteran Golfers Association conducts monthly golf competitions and operates in the South West area of the State.
